Focus On What’s Within Your Control

Sleep

When we’re stressed, and the world is not as we usually know it, it’s important to remember there are many things that are still within our control in our life. Small and positive steps all add up – and can make a big difference to our wellbeing.

Sleep

Waking up at the same time and going to bed at the same time is key. It might seem fun at first to stay up late or sleep in but maintaining your regular times can ensure you feel your best. Children especially will benefit from keeping a healthy sleep routine at the moment.

Make sure you are getting enough sleep too. Many of us are chronically overtired, so take advantage of any downtime by catching up on some good sleep. Perhaps consider adding some things you don’t usually have time for in your bedtime routine. A book. A bath. A warm milk or a hot chocolate.

Whether you are finding you are slowing down, or busier than ever, making sure you look after your sleep will keep you fitter and healthier – and more up for these new challenges.
